Printing BW with printer profile

Printing BW with printer profile

2006-03-16 by Johnny Eades

Hi folks,

I worked up and image and converted it to BW using an action from
Zuberphotographics web site and sent it to the printer via the profile
created with PGP and it looks great!! The action converts the RGB
readings to the same number for R and G and B for each point in the
image. I'm surprised and pleased. Of course the glossy paper won't
last very long and neither will the dyebase inks in my 1280, but it
does look good.

Your friend in Photography,

Johnny

If all you are doing is making all the RGB values equal, there is a Desaturate command in Photoshop that does that, though its logic for what values to end up with may differ...
