Hi, I've made 2 custom profile with the 255 & 729 target file for Epson r1800/Epson Enhance Matte/OEM ink. Without any adjustment, they're not so good looking because both of them exhibit an obvious green cast on it. Then I tried +5 Mangenta, mcuh better! but on greyscale it starts to show Magenta tint... any other work around?

Thats strange. I've done exactly the same thing with a 729 patch target on an Epson R1800 on Enhanced Matte with OEM ink and don't have that problem. Are your calibration tiles clean? Maybe one of them is messed up. ShineW7911 wrote:

that is strange... I've checked the opening of the spectro and it's clean. I also triple checked the patch reading for error... could you send me your ICC file and let me try to print out a test file with yours? of course it won't be "customed made" but I'll probably get to confirm the green cast thing... thanks! --- In colorvision_group@yahoogroups.com, "Thomas M. And that you've hooked into the profiles properly for printing, after you've built them? If you'd like, email me a copy of your .xml measurement files, off-list, and I'll take a quick look at the numbers. I've profiled Enhanced Matte on the R800 (should be almost exactly the same; if not the same) and I should be able to tell fairly quickly if the measurements seem OK. .zip (Win) or .sitx (Mac) the .xml file(s) and email them to: davem@... David can probably give you a much better idea of what is going on if you send him your measurement file. I think sending you my profile is actualy breaking the EULA which ... I admit ... I didn't read terribly closely. I believe profiling your target however is not breaking the EULA (or vice versa).

Just want to report back that I've received my MIS ink & some spongeless empty cartridges for my r1800 today(this is the main reason for my purchasing of the PrinFIX Pro). The green cast issue is less pronounced on the MIS ink. After profiling it with the Enhanced Matte/MIS ink, with the adjustment of Magent+4 & Blue+3, it produced a very very good profile, even for B&W! The MIS ink advertises as being less prone to matemerism & bronzing, maybe there is some truth to this.... So right now I'm very happy with both the PrintFIX PRO & my new ink. I'll profile few more papers tonight and then I can happily return my friend's Eye-One w/ PMP5 :)
