Re: [disklavier] Won't turn on or off

I think the hard drive is going to have to be replaced. No amount of time unplugged is fixing it. Thank you so much for the suggestions.

I suggest leaving it unplugged for about 40 minutes before powering it back up.

Sometimes you might have no choice –
unplug it, wait 30 seconds and repower it. I have had this happen a
couple of times with my new Mark IV, as well as (occasionally) all manner of
other “crashes”, particularly when playing midi files through the
USB port from a Windows laptop. There is clearly some buggy programming
somewhere, but I have found no permanent problems.

Subject: [disklavier] Won't turn
on or off

This
is only my second week of being a disklavier owner. I have been very
careful to properly shut down my disklavier mark IV before I unplug it.
This morning, I plugged it in and the light started blinking green and it will
not stop blinking. It won't let me turn it on or off. I have tried
the suggestion in the manual (turn off the box underneath for at least 10
seconds and then turn it back on) but the light continues to only blink.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Alice
