That’s a good question. Unfortunately I only played holiday music from 850 internal memory. I think I will try playing a floppy through old unit then the new one and compare notes. Thanks for giving me troubleshooting idea. Fred From: disklavier@yahoogroups.com [mailto:disklavier@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of George F. Fred, I am interested to know whether the same song plays just fine when played from the original control unit. What song is it? Is it a Yamaha – published song? First of all, with the DKC-850 playing without being connected to the DKC100R, is anything funny happening? When you connect the DKC-850 to the DKC100R, is the piano playing its part in a different key than the 850? Do a test recording in the DKC-850 (with MIDI In and MIDI Out connected to the DKC100R). Record a song and play all 88 keys chromatically, then play it back. Does the playback on the piano match what you recorded? Anyone seen this type of thing? I have turned unit on and off and symptom is persistent so I don't think it is transpose feature on remote??? Thanks Fred
