Good morning, everyone. In a message dated 12/13/01 9:50:16 PM, Paul writes: << Regarding the various DC3 models, I am curious to the relative opinions of the current DC3A Mark III, the DC3 Mark IIXG and the DC3 Pro (I think that's a Mark IIXG unit). In particular, I have found some aggressive pricing on the DC3 Pro and wonder if it should be considered over the DC3A. >> I recently traded my DC6 IIXG for a DC6 Pro (IIXG vintage) and have been delighted with the upgrade. I have since added a DCD1 to my instrument. If I had a DC6A, my CD drive would be integrated in with the main control unit, and I would be able to control both with a single remote control. Also, the main unit's display would show titles for the CDs (which the DCD1 does not). With a model A, I would also have the ability to transpose the playback of the CDs. On the other side of the equation, my Pro gives me the most sensitivity for recording and playback. Also, the Pro can provide the quietest playback of any piano in which the hammers are actually hitting the strings. Given these trade-offs, my needs, and the pricing option that was available for the Pro, I am extremely happy with my decision. Regards, PianoBench
