Good morning, everyone,

me with some help.
I have just taken delivery of a beautiful new disklavier grand (DC3A) and
it appear to have a problem. I have sent email to Yamaha but they appear to
be closed until the New Year and as I am sure you can understand I am very
anxious to try my new baby.
Problem is this....
1. Error reading on startup stating "Sensor LED on Error"
2. Does not seem to record....since it will not playback
3. When I activate the Silent mode....I can hear the piano sound but it is
very faint
I have checked the volume controls and the plugs and they all seem to be fine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is not a good situation!

Although Yamaha's corporate office provides world-class service, I think that
your best, first-line approach is to contact your dealer. Assuming that your
dealer is an authorized Disklavier dealer, he/she should have a qualified
technician on staff or under contract to take care of your problem. In my
humble opinion, the dealer should have calibrated the instrument when it was
delivered and made sure that everything works correctly.

So, I suggest calling the dealer. He should not charge you for the house call.
