hard to tell exactly what you midi recording problem is but here are a couple of suggestions: midiox/midi yoke might help to get your MIDI flowing the right way :) if nothing else midiox can help monitor MIDI traffic and might show you where the problem is. if you are using windows 10 consider using a different machine with win 8.1 or less for recording. MIDI support has been getting worse and worse with every new MS OS. i did not have win10 on my computer long enough to know how it does but i have heard of others having serious problems using it. you can try running the program in a virtual box for xp or ??? it might be a problem getting virtual box to see the midi interface for recording but it should be possible.
