hard to tell exactly what you midi recording problem is but here are a 
couple of suggestions:
midiox/midi yoke might help to get your MIDI flowing the right way :) if 
nothing else midiox can help monitor MIDI traffic and might show you 
where the problem is.

if you are using windows 10 consider using a different machine with win 
8.1 or less for recording. MIDI support has been getting worse and worse 
with every new MS OS. i did not have win10 on my computer long enough to 
know how it does but i have heard of others having serious problems 
using it.

you can try running the program in a virtual box for xp or ??? it might 
be a problem getting virtual box to see the midi interface for recording 
but it should be possible.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
