Re: Questions on piano & Disklavier control unit DKC-850

2018-01-21 by Barbara Graff

Thanks. It appears that the DKC-850 doesn't have the Piano Soft songs loaded into the memory. I still have the paino soft disks.
For the ensemble "sounds" (guitar, bass, bells, Glockenspiel etc.) there are directions in the Disklavier DKC-850 to play them along with the piano, but it appear as if you can't record with the non-piano sounds, is that correct? There are no directions to use the ensemble sounds for recording.
Also, I don't think I can make my piano silent, I will try the "pedal" idea but I think my model doesn't have silent capability, so I would assume if I can't turn off the sound of the piano playing, I probably can't use my piano keys as a midi controller because I won't be able to only hear other sounds I may want to play, even if I can find an adapter that allows me to hook up headphones to the amplifier.
