More to come from the Piano-e-Competition

2002-06-29 by PianoBench@aol.com

Good evening, everyone.

In a message dated 6/15/02 6:15:27 PM, Robert writes:

<< ....is a GREAT source of MIDI files for your Disklavier! I'm amazed
at the quality.

They have about 100 downloadable files of complete performances. >>

If you have not been to the site during the last week, go directly to the
home page:

http://www.piano-e-competition.com

If you browse the links, you will find that all of the Preliminary pieces
that were recorded are available for download as Disklavier SMFs. Every piece
that has been mentioned on this site as a problem has been fixed and reposted
with one exception: Lin05.mid (Tao Lin's performance of Chaconne) which the
webmaster will repost on Monday. Relatively new on the site are some
streaming videos from the finals.

The webmaster also promises to post, on Monday, six different solo pieces
(Disklavier SMFs) that were played by the five winners in the final gala
concert. One of these pieces is Mei-Ting Sun's final encore: Liszt's
Transcendental Etude #5. Everyone who has heard it has left his/her jaw on
the floor.

If you find any other need for corrections to the site, please let us know. I
may be slow to respond because I will be at the World Piano Conference in
Slovenia this coming week.

Regards,
PianoBench
