Re: [disklavier] Help with settings for Disklavier and computer interface.

Frank,

A couple of things to check:

When you downloaded and expanded the driver, did you find the readme.txt
file? It contains very complete installation instructions.

Make sure the Yahama CBX driver is really installed. Go to the Windows
Control Panel, dbl click Multimedia, and the MIDI Tab and you ought to
see it listed.

Make sure Sonar knows you want to use the Yamaha driver. In Cakewalk,
you pull down the Options menu/MIDI Devices and select the appropriate
device.

You say "appropriate midi cables using the serial port"!?

Are you using a "TO HOST" cable and do you have the switch on the DKV
unit set to "TO HOST"?

Have you set the MIDI IN of your Disklavier. Try setting it for CH=1
and play a file where the note on's are directed to MIDI channel 1.
