Subject: [disklavier] Using a laptop with Disklavier

Great idea! You need to buy an external MIDI interface such as a
Midiman Portman External Parallel MIDI Interface for the PC, a MIDI
cable, and a sequencer such as PG Music's Power Tracks.

With Power Tracks, you will be able to reassign the channels and modify
the velocities of files you have downloaded. You will be able to play
Type 1 MIDI files.

Your setup also offers the potential of keeping your PianoSoft
collection in MIDI format and storing them on HD, CD-ROM (if you have a
drive), or ZIP disk.
