Good morning, everyone. In a message dated 10/24/02 8:24:18 AM, Carol writes: << The new Piano Smart allows you to record your own piano accompaniment to any commercially available audio CD. It's sort of like karoke for the piano. I do not know if this feature works on the Pro. >> PianoSmart works on all "A" model pianos, including the Pro. The letter "A" in the model name (such as DC6A or DC6APro) means that the instrument is a Mark III generation Disklavier. PianoSmart is a recently released technology and existing model A pianos have to be updated with a simple procedure using a floppy disk. I shall check on the official manner in which this update will be made available. From what I can tell, the update is not currently on the Yamaha web site. Regards, PianoBench
