Since PianoDisc plays SMF MIDI format 0 files, you need to convert the Yamaha proprietary format (.fil) to MIDI 0. Download the dkvutils from the file vault, and use the convert program to change the .fil to MIDI 0. They should then work on the Pianodisc. I think Channel 1 plays the piano parts. Even if the file has orchestra parts, your piano will play whatever you assign to channel 1.
