It's better.  It is a MarkIIXG which means it is a MarkII with a built-in 
tone generator. It might also be able to use high density disks as well as 
double density disks, although the units I have seen use double density.  It 
should also play MIDI format 0 files as well as the Yamaha ESEQ format.
