Jeff, I don't know about the capabilities of the newer playing systems or their proprietary software but for midi files this is easily done on your computer. I suppose it would depend on the format of the files you are playing but most have individual instruments on individual tracks. All you have to do is delete the track from the song. You can use any number of sequencing programs to do this. I use Anvil Studio. It's free to download.
