Even though your Disklavier only plays ESEQ files from floppy disks, it will play standard MIDI files from a laptop computer. You do not need a soundcard to do this, however, you do need a MIDI interface - with either a parallel or serial port to connect to your laptop. You only need one MIDI cable that connects from the MIDI OUT on the interface to the MIDI IN on your DKV. You will want to acquire a MIDI jukebox player. You can get one for cheap or free at www.musicsharewaremachine.com I believe the VanBasco Karaoke player will do this for free - available in the dkutils which is different from the dkvutil. You will need to convert the ESEQ files to MIDI files first to put them into the jukebox program.
