You could try "rendering" your MIDI file to Audio yourself. I tried this with ProAudio 8 ( from www.pgmusic.com) and liked the results. I suppose it comes down to the the quality of the "sampled" sounds built into your computer's sound card. Mine was cheap and built into the motherboard. Basically, you create an audio file (.wav) from a MIDI file and burn it to a CD and play it in your stereo. We have done this for piano teaches who own DKVs who want to make CDs for their students recital performances.
