There is another solution - you can patch the Giebler .exe files so
that they are able to run on faster CPUs. The patch fixes a bug in
Turbo Pascal (which the Giebler programs were apparently written in).

Download the TPPATCH utility from
   http://dp70.dyndns.org/tmp/tppatch.zip

Extract tppatch.exe from the ZIP file. Then process each of the .exe
files in the Giebler package by doing:

   tppatch ydm.exe
   tppatch domsmf.exe

etc.

(This does modify the files, so make sure you have your original Giebler
disks available just in case anything goes wrong.)

I know the tppatch utility runs OK under DOS and Windows 95/98/ME
and I've used it successfully.

It is trickier to run under NT/2000/XP. There, you need to do:

   debug tppatch ydm.exe
   (you're now at a '-' prompt)
   g
   q
(you're now back at the normal prompt)

for each file.

Hope this helps.
