After I record a Disklavier track to the sequencer, I never edit it in real-time. I don't actually play it back while simultaneously punching in from the Disklavier onto that same track. If I have any edits to do, I just use the ol' mouse & computer keyboard. What I DO do, is to record brand new tracks while the original track is pre-delayed. Theoretically, you could do that and then unshift the original track and merge the performances together somehow at the computer by dragging the notes on top of each other. I haven't actually done that; I've just recorded brand new tracks for different instruments. But it seems like it might work. Dave -----Original Message----- From: gk@... Please help describe your methods for editing and listening to the DK. Are you using the 30 mb pno sound from midi in? Is it delayed? I have a DC7 PRO. I'm trying to find the best way to edit and punch in before pre-delaying the track for real hammer playback. I'm using Cubase VST PC, playing to other midi tracks, so the timing / bar/beat relationship should hopefully look the same on the edit screen.
