Your DKV only plays the Yamaha proprietary ESEQ files - not MIDI files from the floppy disk drive. You need to convert the MIDI files you download from the internet to ESEQ files first. The reason your computer does not see the Disklavier-formatted diskettes is that there is nothing written on the boot sector. Your DKV also only uses the older 720k DD disks. In some posts last month, there were details how to format a 720k floppy using XP. Some have been successful using tape to cover the hole on a 1.44 M diskette and formatting it as a 720k. You could also buy an older laptop that runs Windows 95 or 98 so you could use the DOS utilities, like dkvcopy or the Giebler software for $30, and be able to format at 720k diskette easily.
