Re: [disklavier] Anyone Knows?

2004-02-11 by Robert Welcyng

Carol, Wayne has gotten the cold shoulder from Yamaha. If Yamaha of
America had any interest in helping him, they would have given him
addresses and contacts for the other Yamaha regions, or even made
inquiries for him. Y of A has outstanding and extremely helpful people.
I suspect that Yamaha Japan has laid down the law to all regions: They
shall honor their respective world market boundaries and their sales
networks. Period.

Yamaha headquarters can't stop leakage of products across regional
lines, but they can surely refuse to promote it. I don't believe anyone
would care to be a dealer in LA and have to compete with some importer
bringing in DKVs from the Far East.

That will fix the problem, while maintaining your access to the group.
