It could also be that Yamaha of America never had a part for a model like that. Electric power is different all over the world, and the volts coming into electronics are not the same. That's why electric cables are different. You don't know how much voltage is going thru what wire to whatever doodad on some circuit board. It's probably like Volkswagen of Germany with all those Passats in their showroom today being expected to have a part for a Volkswagen Rabbit bought in the United States in 1982. You just wouldn't expect such a thing even though both products said Volkswagen on them. Yamaha is not one, but many corporations that do business different ways in different parts of the world. I went to the Yamaha website and clicked on "international" They have links to customer service in different places in the world at: http://www.global.yamaha.com/products/music/pianos.html. I sometimes have trouble here in Washington D.C servicing the pianos in the homes of diplomats from all over the world. They may all have the same brand name, but they can be so very, very different.
