Hello Keith (and Carol!) I haven't tried it, but I see that Bob Moog (of Synthesiser fame) has released a new MIDI sensor for pianos called "PianoBar" : http://www.moogmusic.com/detail.php?main_product_id=71 This consists of a long bar that rests on the keys, and a sensor that goes under the pedals, allowing you to record midi from most pianos and keyboards. Obviously, it won't record hammer velocity like a DKV but the key velocity like a synthesiser. Some interesting people are using it apparently (Bruce Hornsby, Stevie Wonder etc) so it must be quite good, but whether it can compare to a DKV I don't know. Perhaps this might help with the recording side? Regards James
