Good evening, everyone. RW: --Press Function --Navigate to MIDI Setup and press Enter --Navigate to MIDI Out and press Enter In the MIDI Out area, you have a couple of choices for MIDI Output. The primary choices are Keyboard Out and Ensemble Out. Keyboard Out send out the MIDI data as you play the keyboard. Ensemble Out sends out the MIDI data that is played from floppy disk (or internal memory). The Ensemble Out choices normally just sends the tone generator tracks when you play a disk, on the assumption that you want the Disklavier to play the piano parts and an external tone generator to play the other tracks. If, for some reason, you play a prerecorded file on your Disklavier and you want all parts to be send out the MIDI Out port, then: --Press Function --Navigate to MIDI Setup and press Enter --Navigate to PianoPart and press Enter --Navigate to the second page in the PianoPart area --Set PianoPart Ensemble Out to On BTW, when working with a connection to a computer, be sure that the To Host switch on the back of the control unit is set to MIDI if you are using a MIDI cable connection. If you are using a direct serial connection, set the switch to Mac (for Macintosh) or PC2 for Windows.
