Do anyone > have any suggestions? Joan, by "disc" you are referring to CDs, right? It is true that current Disklaviers cannot play a certain variant of PianoDisc CDs. It sounds like Yamaha has figured that out and will be issuing a firmware update that will correct the problem, as long as you're willing to wait a few months. (Converting the CDs yourself would be hard to do without your existing PianoDisc system.) PianoDisc recently informed its dealers and technicians that, starting this fall, they will be encrypting their CDs to break compatibility with the Disklavier and other competing products. All PianoDisc systems will have to be updated to play the new discs. It is unclear when or if the Disklavier will support future PianoDisc CDs. Mark Fontana
