Mike, I realize this is a very old message you put into Yahoo Groups. Nonetheless, I'm hoping you are still here... I have rec'd an MX100 II recently. While the control unit (player) operates fine (plays disks and midi in), the LCD screen is totally blank (like you described). However, my LCD screen is all lit up (green) but without any text. Is this similar to what you experienced? Unfortunately, I cannot use any menus, record, etc. on the player itself until I resolve this issue. Any advice or information would be appreciated.
