If you read down further in this post, you will see a copy of my original post re: the display.  Having a background in electronics, I was able to test and replace the display myself.  It is not that difficult for someone who is trained in this type of work.  I recommend you have a technician look at the unit if you are not familiar with this type of repair.  
 
My display was blank from the moment I purchased the piano from the previous owner so I do not know how long it was blank or if it went blank suddenly like yours or faded over time.  
 
Thankfully, parts seem to be available.  Nothing beats a working display - - accept, of course, a working display and a delicious piece of Swiss chocolate!

Hello Mike and Yadidisklavier,

I am from switzerland and have an MX100II. 
I disconnected the main plug of the piano while my holidays. When I
come back two weeks later I switched on the piano. Then I noticed that
there was no text on the display. Not nice.
The backlight was ok. I tried to check whether I can see any dots of
the character matrix by changing the angle of view but there was
absolutely nothing to see.

I'm interested how your (Yadidisklavier) display was repaired.
