Greetings Walter, I believe Terry has a listing available. At one point I wrote a program (mainly for his use)to dump all the text information in his files to a tabbed text file. I have a variety of similar program that I use for my own cataloging and will make sure the current (relatively bug free) versions are available if anyone wants them. One program lists all text events and track names. If text events are marked with keywords in a manner that Terry adopted, at one point, they will fall into the same column. One program will list all the data to an excel file and will make hyperlinks to the file locations. You can play the linked file by clicking on the link. The player that is associated with .mid files will open and play the file. For the truly compulsive, the excel sheet can be converted to an access database and serve as the basis for a true filterable database from which you can do all sorts of filtering and sorting. I also wrote a program that allows you to select a bunch of file paths from the database and play them "playlist" fashion. However it has a serious memory leak that I can not fix because I am using a program module that has a serious bug and can not program around it. I would be interested in seeing someone else, who can write MIDI applications in C, write a similar application that does work properly. My program does work but it will eventually use up all your memory until you reboot. > Very Good, Colin! > But before I dowmload 55 MB, I would be interested in a list that > tells something about > - title > - composer > - performer > - other details of origin > -- roll brand > -- roll number > -- year of production. > I think others would be as curious as me, too. > Walter > To Post a message to the group, send it to: disklavier@... > To Post a private message to Todd Muncy, the group's founder and moderator, send it to: > disklavier-owner@... > To reach our group's web site go to: > http://Yahoogroups.com/group/disklavier > THINKING OF LEAVING THE GROUP? > If you are thinking of unsubcribing because you are getting too > much mail, go the the web site and change your email delivery option > instead.
