Re: [disklavier] music stand...silly question

2007-03-28 by James Fry

Hi there,

I have a U1 disklavier (with the soft close lid) and don't suffer from
this problem - although I have a problem with bigger books not staying
open because there are no clips to hold the book in place. The book
ledge has hinges as you describe, but it can only open so far before the
back of it butts up against the lid and stops opening further.

I've uploaded a photograph from the end showing how it butts up against
the lid. Please excuse the dust and harsh lighting that brings out all
the plastic working marks!

Maybe the older (or newer?) U1's had a different design? What model do
you have? Mine is a late MPX1Z MarkIIXG.

Regards,

James
