I have taken time to review all the past documentations, that came
with the Mark IV and each of  the updates.  I believe that my husband
was thinking that he could change the voice of a particular song (one
that was already recorded) to be something other than the piano.  He
was trying to change the voice of a piano only type midi file.

I was thinking that the voice is applicable to ensemble tracks and
also related to playing the piano or recording using the voice option.

There may very well be no problem that exists with Version 3.0
concerning this voice option, it may merely be our lack of
understanding on how the voice option is used.
