Does anyone have these 'rescue disks?' (sounds like a stupid mac lingo to me!)
Yamaha in Australia are hopeless, there is a guy who 'specilises' in disklaviers but is nothing more than a fat dump powertripping wanker.

Subject: Re: [disklavier] How to Reinstall Disklavier IV 3.0 Upgrade
Hi,
you will need to get in touch with Yamaha. They should have rescue disks to re-install the operating system. Unfortunately, these are not available for distribution to the general public. The update CD (or the update download) only contains changes to the operating system, not the complete package, so you can't use it to re-install the operating system if your hard drive has crashed. This also shows why it is a good idea to regularly back up your hard drive, esp. if you do a lot of recording.
