Disklavier

Greetings Kevin,

My LX plays other DKV/audio files perfectly. I rarely listen to them
and only tested your file with a crappy amplified computer speaker,
not a good stereo which is in another room. I found the acoustic piano
to be very choppy, going on and off with no real relationship to the
accomp. It might sound better with a higher volume from the accomp.
Why is most of the piano a digital piano on the accomp and only
scattered real piano? I thought the idea of a disklavier was to sound
like a piano? Personally, I would like all the piano to be acoustic. I
just don't understand the reason for the accomp piano.

I think you can get better compression with LZMA compression than with
zip. I was expecting better compression because I compress piano only
files not piano with accomp. Since the accomp and piano alternate in
the WAV file it makes sense as Mark suggests that the compression
would be less.
