I'm sure you'll get more technical advice if needed but I have encountered this 'glitch' with my MkIV once in a while. The way to resolve this was to completely power down the MkIV (so that the power light turns off). Once off, unplug the piano and after a minute or so boot it back up. Crude but effective. If this fails, go to the settings option on the handheld and restore the piano to its factory default settings - this shouldn't affect any music stored on your hard drive.
I'm not sure what causes it to do this but the DKV is a complex piece of circuitry and mechanics and I am simply glad that most common problems can be resolved by the above.
Hope that helps.

My Disklavier has stopped driving the acoustic portion of my Yamaha baby grand piano. I suspect the problem arises from some settings issue -- but I haven't (at least intentionally) changed any settings. I can still play midi files in quiet mode. And the acoustic piano works fine when I do not attempt to invoke the Disklavier. The Disklavier does not drive the piano no matter how I attempt it: not through the handheld, not through DKVBrowser, and not through the media box mounted below the keyboard.
Any assistance in diagnosing and correcting this problem would be greatly appreciated!
