Disklavier MX100A & Floppy Emulators

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a workaround to the Floppy Drive on these older model Disklaviers. This model requires a formatted floppy to be spinning away in the drive just to make the midi interface usable. It would be nice to somehow eliminate the need for a floppy drive. They have these nifty USB style floppy emulators on the market and I'm wondering if anyone has successfully transplanted one into their MX100 Piano.
