DU1E3 with DKC 800

My new DU1E3 controller is a DKC 800. Yamaha doesn't seem to comment on this. Is it a generation back from the 850? Should I have been given an 850?
Thanks.

You have the latest unit. The 850 is for older pianos who wish to replace their existing disklavier box with the dkc850.

No. The 850 is only for after factory upgrade. The 800 is the correct one for at factory install.

To all intents and purposes, the units are pretty much identical.
