PIANO POWER OFF! (PWM OVER) on DKC100 DGH1 Mark II

PIANO POWER OFF! (PWM OVER) on DKC100 DGH1 Mark II

2015-11-15 by Brad Harper

Anyone have any good troubleshooting tips on this problem?

It appears to be an overtemp problem on one of the driver boards, as the
problem does not happen immediately. After a disk is inserted, the piece
will play for a short time, then this error message appears. You then have
to power off then on, to play it again, but the error comes right back in
shorter and shorter duration. Even if you stop the playback, the problem
will happen, given a minute or so. Sounds like a driver circuit is
overheating, even without any key solenoids being used.

Thanks for your help.

I have looked at every possible “outside of the power supply” reason for this and I can’t see anything that is out of the norm. That brings me back to the power supply. I need to test this under lode. Does anyone have the specs for how much amperage that each of the power supply connections is supposed to deliver under lode? I would like to do it on the bench. Otherwise I will disassemble the power supply enclosure, and test it while in operation. Operational test voltages and temperatures would be appreciated.
