I use an app called Sweet Midi Player from Roni music. It works perfectly and they have fantastic support. From an Ipod/Ipad you can connect to your piano with a device like Irig Midi, which I use. You can then playfrom Sweet Midi Player to the piano. If you want to go wireless, with a MAC, you can use the Audio Midi Setup with a USB midi converter.I don't know how to do it with Windows. I will say though that the direct wired through the Irig Midi works much better. You can then play all the Midi files to your piano.

I'm assuming you're on a Mac. You didn't say. I have a mac. This is how I do it.Download the zipped files. Choose the ones in MIDI format.Open your download folder and double click on the zipped folder. It will automatically unzip it.Open the new folder. You should have many MIDI files. Now, connect your Ipad to the computer with the USB cable.Open ITunes. Now, I'm telling you how it is on my screen. Not sure it's the same on yours, but the idea should be the same.Once you've clicked on your Ipad, on the left side under Settings, it says Summary, Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Photos, Info.Click on Apps. It should then show you on the top of the screen all the apps. On the bottom, it should show you all the apps that have file sharing. Sweet Midi Player (SMP) should be there. On the left side of that bottom pane, click on SMP and on the right side it should show all the "Sweet Midi Documents".Drag the midi files from the unzipped folder to there. It will update the Ipad with those songs.Whatever the name of the file is is what will show up in SMP. If you want a name you can recognize, change it before you transfer it to SMP.Now, the files are in SMP in your Ipad. Disconnect the Ipad.
In SMP, go to Settings, then scroll down to Sound then to Midi output. Choose Irig Midi (in my case) and SMP will output through that device (Irig Midi) which in turn is connected to your Midi In port on your piano.
Best of luck. Let me know if I can help more.

Good afternoon, everyone. It does not require a Mac to install MIDI files into Sweet MIDI Player. You can use iTunes (as illustrated in the thread below) or a third party program called iMazing, available for Mac and PC. Regards, PianoBench

More or less, the answer is no. You put the files into your Ipad through Itunes. They really don't go "into" Itunes. It's not like loading a new music file into Itunes. You have to download the files onto your computer first and then transfer them to your Ipad through Itunes.
I think if you follow the instructions, you should be able to get them where you want them.
When you're done, I really don't know if the files stay in Itunes or not. But, they will be in your Ipad.
