Disklavier DKC-800?

Disklavier DKC-800?

2016-12-18 by Sandi Bowen

I have a prospective student who says her new piano is the DKC-800 (not the 850 control module). Does such a model exist?

Thanks,

Good evening, everyone.

Oddly, Disklavier’s don’t have their model number printed on the piano. The DKC-800 control unit is the one that comes with the Disklavier E3. Outwardly, it appears to be the same as the replacement DKC-850 except for the number.

The Disklavier Education Network website has a chart of the various DKC numbers that appear on control units up to, but not including, the DKC-800:

The DKC-800 is the control unit for the Disklavier E3 system. So, she has an E3 Disklavier.

Look on the front of the control unit and give me either the DKC.... # or the PP..... #. From this, I can tell you what your options are.
