Recently I went to use the silent piano for the first time in a few months and there was no output. If I adjust the settings to play the XG sounds I can hear them fine. MIDI output from the keys appears to be working, and I can play / record and the keys all move etc.Is there something obvious I might be overlooking? If not, what is the prognosis? Is it likely that a repair is going to be cost effective on such an old (and essentially worthless) instrument now? Many thanks!James

Good morning, everyone.James, does your control unit have a “Voice” button? If so, when you push it, is there an option to set “PianoTone” of On or Off? You might check that.Regards,PianoBenchOn Aug 22, 2019, at 11:09 AM, James Fry groups@... >James The main piano sound comes from MIN Board I recommend to check following points. 1:Aux in and aux out sound check. 2:Enter test mode and check piano type ( UPS) 3:Enter test mode and do the MN test. Good morning, everyone. James, there are 2 other things that I can think of: Local Control and Reset. If your control box has a Local Control option, make sure that it is on. If you can find a Reset option, I recommend doing a reset of the settings. Regards, PianoBench

The XG sounds come from a DB51XG card (presumably a variation on the DB50XG soundblaster expansion) so sound is getting from there through to the headphone sockets at least. > > Do you know where the main piano sound comes from? Is there another board like the DB51XG or is it built into one of the main boards? If I turn the volume control all the way up I can hear a very very faint chromatic sound in the background noise, but it's barely audible. > > Many thanks again, > > James > > On Thu, 22 Aug 2019, 17:00 'George F.
