I find VanBasco's Midi (new version is Karoake) player to be about the best
I have found. You can convert whole directories of fil files to midi using
the utility found on my web site. It is free. Converting a whole bunch of
files is not too time consuming if you can do whole directories automatically.

Hi Spencer

I have just downloaded the two utility files from your page and they
don't do what you say.
There is the Eseq2Mid but it will only do one file at a time and only
if it has the .fil extension. Some of my disks do not have .fil
extensions on the files.

Maybe I was looking in the wrong place!!!!

I have not used the eseq2mid and just assumed that it worked the way the
MID2ESEQ worked. All that is might be necessary is to write a dos batch
program (probably one line long) to run the program on all files in a
directory. It would also be possible to rename all the files to a fil
extension if that is necessary. I do not have the time to experiment with
this right now but could at a later date. I am sure there is someone who
knows dos better than I do who could give it a try. This would require that
the the program can be run with a target file name passed as a parameter to it.
