Dkvs and visually impaired pianists : wanting more information

Dkvs and visually impaired pianists : wanting more information

2005-12-15 by Claude Renaud

Hi,

Last week on this list, someone gave me the following link,
http://blind.ky.gov/lcdinfo.asp related to a project called "The
Kentucky LCD Interface Project".
Originally this project had to modify the QY10 with a speech interface
as an assistive technology for the blind..
If you read the page mentionned above you can see that some dkvs units
were accessible thanks to this development.
But googling a bit, we can read, "Due to the high cost and limited market, this project never became a commercial
product.".
And on the page of the related project, we can see that the latest
update was made in 1998.
So it was abandonned, unfortunately ...
So, does someone heard of or know a similar project aiming at making
dkvs accessible for the blind musicians community ?
