Do a piano shutdown and then restart WITH the hard drive plugged
into the usb port. Make sure the external drive is on and not in
sleep mode. I put my e-competitions on a flash memory card I plug it
in to the usb port. Neal

I own a Disklavier Mark IVpro and am having a problem as my disklavier does not recognize an external hard drive when plugged into the USB port.

Also, I've downloaded some of the Minneapolis piano competitions to a floppy and added to my pianosoft library and the disklavier doesn't recognize the midi files.

Any suggestions? Thanks
