You may have a worn out floppy drive . Here are some things you can do to
check it out.
First, do a record and playback test. Does the Disklavier play back the
song as you recorded it? Even if you don't play the piano, play each key
going up the scale and then push on each pedal.
Try different disks. Do they all stop playing in the middle of the song?
Are you using Yamaha disks or ones you formatted yourself? Are they any
error messages? When was the last time you cleaned the heads on the floppy
drive?
Try doing a system reset. Unplug the Disklavier from the wall and wait a
minute before plugging it back in. Are the pedals properly adjusted so as
not to heat the pedal solenoid and shut the system down?
Can you play the Disklavier from a computer and not the floppy drive?
