Disklavier database

2010-05-30 by Luke

Hi
I am trying to find a database with all the models of disklavier pianos produced by Yamaha since the introduction of the serie (uprights & grands) over the years with the specifications; does such a thing exists?

THanks

Hi

There is this but I think it is only for keyboards:

http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php

Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the "History of Products"

http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/chron.php

Or

http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/result.php?div_code=piano

software question

2010-06-08 by George F. Litterst

Good afternoon, everyone.

Is there a later version of RipARooter than version 1.0? If so, where would I find it?

I am finding that program works in certain instances and not in others. In particular, I have some disks that it seems to think are formatted as HD when they should be DD.

Thanks,
PianoBench

There is no such thing. I've spent years (since they came out in the UK in '86) working on them and trying to collate data. There is no single source of information listing all models and specs, and as soon as I think I can identify any model ever made, another obscure Japanese model has found it's way into a UK customer's house. (and is in need of repair)

Disklavier Pro for sale

2010-06-09 by George F. Litterst

Good evening, everyone.

This is an email that I am sending to many professional colleagues.

My friend, Edisher Savitsky--winner of the 2006 Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition--reluctantly needs to sell his Disklavier, model DC3M4 Pro.

This fine instrument is a 6' 1" Mark IV Pro which has a suggested list price of $80,199. As a Pro, it has Yamaha's most sophisticated record and playback system.

Edisher is willing to consider $43,500 or best reasonable offer.

You can get the specs on the instrument here:

http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/ModelSeriesDetail.html?CNTID=62241&CTID=202200

Note that this is a current model Disklavier Pro. It has been maintained by one of Yamaha's finest technical consultants, Craig Fehrenbacher.

If you are interested in the instrument, feel free to contact Edisher directly:

Also feel free to pass on the information. I am not personally involved in the sale.

Regards,

Hi PianoBench

As far as I know Dan has not updated it. I am sure if he had, he would have let me know.
What problems are you having?
Which disks are you trying to backup?

Midi
