DKC-850 Losing Disklavier Radio Login Information

DKC-850 Losing Disklavier Radio Login Information

2011-10-16 by mh180005

I recently upgraded to the DKC-850 and love it. My account login information (Email and Password) are not being retained after I remove power to the control unit. I always disconnect power to the Disklavier during periods of non-use. When I reconnect power and attempt to use Disklavier Radio the account login information is missing.

Any solutions?

Thank you.

This has also happened to me a few times. Are you by any chance using the iPad or iPhone interface? The only time mine has done this is when I am using this. With the remote it never seems to happen. Maybe just random. And a real pain to enter the info. SJ

I wrote about this twice in this forum but never got any response...I have the problem with the remote and don't know if this happens With the iPad interface although I use it. I get messages that say the network failed to connect, analysing network. The only thing that will fix this is to reset and reenter the login and password and yes, it is a big pain. I have left two messages to Yamaha support and have not heard a word back even though it has been over two weeks. My dealer is supposed to be getting me help but it doesn't look like he has had any success. This is very frustrating especially spending big bucks on the dkc and also the radio service...

Not sure this is the same issue. Since I power down the piano when not in use, I also get the failed to connect message, but if I just wait several minutes, it always connects. SJ

If the light goes red is that the same as powering down? That is when I notice that it sometimes will and sometimes will not connect to the Internet. I wonder if I should be leaving it in standby (green light)? I appreciate the response! --George

I actually turn the AC power off when not in use. Thiis powers down the piano and my wireless access point that the piano is connected to Although it always eventually connects, but sometimes I need it wait several minutes after the controller has fully booted. Try turning it on and actually wait like 5 minutes and see what happens.
