Can someone recommend a program that edits MIDI

Can someone recommend a program that edits MIDI

2011-10-17 by Craig

I have written my own song with lyrics. I am not a very good pianist. I am trying to transfer the recorded song from my MarkIII DC3A Disklavier to a computer program so I can edit my mistakes, print sheet music and then copyright/register the song.

I have a Yamaha UX16 MIDI to USB adapter so I can connect my piano to my laptop. I have moderate computer skills. I just do not know what program I should use to edit the MIDI file. I was looking at programs called 'ANVIL Studio' and Magicscore Maestro7, but it is difficult to know what is a good program if one can barely read music. I need something that is 'user friendly' that can edit the mistakes I make while recording my song. Then the program has to produce and print the sheet music, etc.

Any advice or suggestions would be very welcome.

If you get to the point of having a MIDI file to which you want to add lyrics or if anyone else wants to add lyrics to MIDI files, I have a newly updated program that allows you to do so quite easily. You don't have to be a musician or good with Cakewalk and the lyrics can usually be gotten from the internet (for most popular songs) so you don't even have to type. Contact me know if anyone wants to try this new program.

Logic Pro for Mac is one of the best to edit perfectly MIDI, then you send the result to your Disklavier. It's magic !
