Yes it is the same, as already stated Regeneration is a reference to Dr who.

Yes they are the same, this makes it possible to plug-in various 
modulation sources at the same time. As in all modular synths, the more 
inputs the more fun. They are all controlling the cut-off

Yes it is the same as CV input.  When doing FM ( I mean DX7 like FM, 
because FM is not only meaning DX7 like ) with a filter you need only a 
modulation VCO, no signal VCO, for this you must set the filter to 
auto-oscillation.

No idea probably it is due to the original design choices of ARP and 
EMS, if you read
thoroughly my yusynth pages dedicated to these filters you'll see that 
for all filters
there is a buffer input and buffer output stage and for both you may 
adjust the gain resistor in order to obtain the desired input and output 
levels

This has nothing to with a FM input, it's just a mixing input for a 
second audio source.

No regeneration input because the ARP filter does not provide this 
possibility for this. The EMS filter offered this hidden feature in its 
design and I chose to unveil it.
