Ha - advert or not I'm glad you posted it. One of my biggest issues is I want my modular more for sound shaping/mangling/etc than as an actual synth (although I want that too... I want everything... I'm selfish that way... ;-) I love just about everything about the dotcom that I've read and am happy with my decision to go this route when I get to the point where I order (no - I don't own one yet, a couple months out yet before the "first" order). What excites me about MOTM is the variety of filters. I'm not really hung up on the sealed pots and best of everything approach (though I certainly respect everyone who wants that) - the cost difference between MOTM and dotcom is substantial. However, when I get my dotcom to a certain point - I know I'll want to add at least couple of the MOTM filters and possibly other modules - and the possibility of getting them in dotcom format is just perfection. Hopefully, by the time I'm ready to add those, all the groundwork will be in place. :-) Honestly, between the dotcom and MOTM lists - I've had more fun thinking about gear and synths the last few months (and planning out what I want to get and what I want to do with it) than I have with music in a long time. Between integrating a patchbay into my studio (yes, believe it or not - I don't have one...) and planning the modular - this has been a potentially expensive year! I rarely add gear - this year has been an exception - I added a pair of Mackie monitor's earlier as well. I'll quit rambling...
