A couple of thoughts on the subject: There is certainly a standard dot com font, tick mark set and general layout feel that can be followed. However, there is no standard for dot com component spacing. That stuff is all over the map depending on which module is being used. So, a spacing between pots that supports the conversion is needed. In most cases that is 1.625" which is about the middle of the range for normal dot com stuff. In the case of MOTM conversion, that allows the pots to stay ON the PCB making for a better conversion. The process goes like this. We add panels like this to our line up as people request them. Then, we do a "draft" or two of how we think it ought to look and let people comment on it until a concensus can be reached (among those buying of course). Jay participated in a just for fun discussion like this on TGS and as I remember had a pretty well thought out layout for the Blacet VCEG. In some cases, we have made two different panels for the same circuit because that is what people wanted. But, the more people that buy from the same demand, the lower the price. If so, that would be interesting. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Read only the mail you want - Yahoo! Mail SpamGuard. http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mail
