Dotcomformat

does anyone have experience using a standard patch bay (dbx, behringer, etc.) to route 
control voltages?  do you pretty much get out what you put in? or if you haven't done this, 
would you expect it to work?

i want to bring my kenton midi > cv outs to a front panel, where they would be far more 
useful with my dotcom.
